You can record something and then convert it to midi pretty accurately it's just not great if you want the actual guitar sound. You would need to look at getting a proper USB audio interface that has a "Hi-Z" input if you want to direct connect your guitar to the input or you can use your existing guitar amp (I assume you have one) and connect the line out/headphone out of that to an audio interface. It is not really suitable to feed a DAW for a recording (is my guess) The USB to guitar adapter that comes with the game is probably a very (very) basic audio interface that is designed to only receive a basic signal from your guitar so it won't be amplifying it or anything to make a usable signal, it is looking only for the frequency of the sounds which it doesn't need good quality for. ![]() May have helped to explain that as well since I had to now google it to see what you are on about there.
